The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; Whom shall I dread?
Psalms 27:1

We serve an amazing, loving and kind Father, He is the Giver of Life through His Son, Jesus Christ! In Him, we have much to be thankful for. Out of His mercy and love for us, we desire to testify of His goodness and grace so that others will also grow to love, adore and follow our Savior.

Some of you already know, but last month, on his way to the school to join a team, Ed-gard had a motorcycle accident. He was hit by a car, in what could have been a life-threatening accident. He had head injuries and a broken leg. Though it took the doctors a week to determine that he had a broken leg, he has already worn a cast and it has been removed. He is walking with crutches and is now recovering well. We praise God for sparing his life! Please keep him and his recovery, along with his family, in your prayers.

The team Edgard was joining, Pastor Bertho, Ernest, Kaloulou and Marie Marcelle had already gone out to the school earlier that day. They went to spend 4 days there with the school children, the church, and its leaders to celebrate Mother’s Day. It was a wonderful time of preaching, teaching, singing, performing for the mothers, and provision of a meal to celebrate. The team also met with the school and church leaders and teachers to work together for the community and outreach. What a wonderful and blessed time they all had together!

One of our team members, Hudson and his wife, Stephania, just had a baby girl. Anne Chloe was born on June 21st and is doing well along with her mom Stephania, who is our daughter in law, Laissa’s sister. Please pray for them as Stephania recovers from a c-section.

The teachers have need for another motorcycle. We would love to help them with this tool, as 5 teachers are riding 1 motorcycle to get form Mirebalais to the school each day. That is about a 45 minute drive, part of it is over rough roads. They then cross the river by a dugout canoe followed by a 45 minute hike up to the school. Please pray about the possibility of helping with another motorcycle for these teachers who already have an ordeal just getting to the school. We are estimating the cost to be around $2,000.

The motorcycle accident has made it so that Edgard could not go back to the school this month. Kaloulou and Ernest did go out to continue the Bible classes with the children and check on how things are going there. The children continue to grow physically and spiritually. They really enjoy the time in God’s Word daily with their teachers and weekly with the team.

We are looking for 2 acoustic guitars, 1 for deacon Samuel and 1 for Ernest, who both play very well. Also, the school administrator, Nady would like an accordion. His current one has brought so much joy to the school and church, however it is falling apart and has several broken keys. We know nothing about guitars or accordions, but if any of you have one of these to donate or know of a great deal for one ,we are very interested. They love to use instruments that do not need electricity to accompany the children when they sing and perform for their parents and for the church worship services.

A need that has been brought to our attention by the Haiti team is for some playground equipment: swings, tether ball and a few things for the children to play on when they go outside. Hudson is an engineer, and he has some ideas for playground equipment that could be built there. We hope to have some ideas and costs in the next newsletter.

We are grateful for a better month financially! Our prayer is that we can maintain this increase so that we can continue to bless those who minister with us. OSM, provides approximately 2,400 meals each month for the children and teachers, along with salaries for the team and schoolteachers. We have prayed and considered assisting another smaller school there as well. OSM continues monthly support to Pastor Santos and Sister Lety, the Dorcas House, and needs for these ministries in Mexico. Whether our donations are up or down, these are ongoing commitments that need to be met. Praise the Lord for each of your prayers, faithful love and support! Thank you for being a part of our team to love, pray for and support our brothers and sisters in Christ in Haiti and Mexico!

On a personal note, we have 2 grandbabies due to arrive soon. Our son Kenny and his wife Laissa are due with a baby boy the end of August. Our son Micah and his wife Valerie are due with a baby girl in late October. Please keep Laissa, Valerie and these soon to arrive pre-cious grandbabies in your prayers!

In Christ, Ken & Debbi
