25 Year Anniversary!

Dear Friends in Christ,
This is OSM’s 25th Anniversary month. Though there is no way to tell all of what has happened, this newsletter will be a review of what God has done with us and allowed us to be a part of for these 25 years. Some of you know our story and some do not. We had been in Haiti for almost 3 years, when suddenly, God brought us out. I (Ken) usually say we didn’t look much like Christians at that point. Debbi and I were physically and spirit-ually beat up and felt it was all our fault. Our family, then with 13 children arrived back in Florida and our home was being rented out, we were extremely discouraged with ourselves, and frankly with God. Why would He make us leave Haiti which we all loved?!
Out of those few months of searching and seeking, feeling God wouldn’t use us again, our friend John Leininger encouraged us that he felt God wanted our family to stay in ministry. Then, God began to open new doors. We found ourselves in Texas and went to Mexico with John, to build a home for a family. During that visit, we fell in love with the Mexican people. By the end of Jan, 1998, Only a Servant Ministries had been started. We found where God want-ed us, though it certainly wasn’t where we would have chosen. He had a plan and we decided to follow Jesus in it! This is a pictorial newsletter of some of the highlights of these 25 years since then. We hope you enjoy seeing what God has allowed to happen through OSM and through you, who have loved, prayed for, and supported us and this ministry.
