Dear Friends in Christ,
Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them,
for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you,
He will not fail you or forsake you.

~ Deuteronomy 31:6 ~
What an amazing month this has been. Praise the Lord! Kenny has been busy sharing the gospel of Christ and taking handicapped and sick people from Merci Village to and from doctors’ visits. He is also hosting a team and preparing for another team to arrive.
Kenny had the opportunity to spend an afternoon talking with a few of the older children who attend school in Petionville. In 1998, when Shelby returned to Haiti, she set it up for OSM to cover the expenses of a meal a day for 2 Christian schools just outside of Port-au-Prince (PAP). We thought you would be interested to learn a little more about a few of the older school children. They feel blessed to have the opportunity to even go to school. They see this as their only hope for the possibility of getting a better job as adults. We view this as an opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with these children. Therefore, helping both of these pastors has been a privilege. The children who attend these schools pay very little, if anything, because they are the poorer families. Rigil Bievalaire is a 21-year-old Christian student at the school. He has been attending for 7 years now and would like to become an engineer. Sarelus is 16 and he lives with his Mom and two brothers. His dad died when he was young. Sarelus loves Jesus and would like to become a doctor one day. Kathiana is 14 and has attended this school since kindergarten. She and her sister, Wolking, would both like to go into the medical profession. Anuse is 13 years old and lives with her aunt. She loves the Lord and would like to become a nurse. As you can see, these children have been impacted by attending a Christian school and have hopes and dreams for their futures. You have been a part of their lives in ways you may not realize or understand. They are grateful and so are we.
A small team from our church in Texas, Hillside Fellowship, traveled to Haiti. Kenny picked them up at the airport and transported them wherever they needed to go. This was a research team for a larger team which will be going back in the fall. They ministered at Loving Heart Orphanage in PAP. Kenny drove several of the team members out to a deaf school in Quadabouquet, north of Port. This is a new school ministering to about 25 deaf children. Marie, a team member, is a high school student who has been studying sign language for several years now. She was able to teach a class and visit with the children. While she had time with the children, Kenny went to a nearby hospital to drop off some supplies. The majority of this group’s time was spent at the orphanage, which Hillside has been helping and ministering to for several years.
The full amount for the Nissan has come in. We praise the Lord for His provision through you! Please continue to pray for Kenny in Haiti, for our family and direction for OSM. We are grateful for your partnership with us in serving our Lord Jesus Christ in Haiti and Mexico. May His fullest measure of blessing be over you and your families.
Because of Christ,
