Dear
Friends in Christ, |
|
As
January comes and goes, we're grateful for
a new year of life in Christ and another
year of working as Only a Servant Ministries.
O.S.M. celebrates it's 8th anniversary this
month! The Lord has blessed us tremendously
through the years with faithful friends,
prayer warriors and supporters who have encouraged
and kept us going. God has used O.S.M. to
bring so many dear friends into our lives,
and we are so grateful for each one of you. |

We
started our month with a short trip to Louisiana.
With funds the Lord provided through Vision
Forum Ministries (www.visionforum.com ) and
O.S.M. we had the opportunity to deliver
more supplies. Our first stop was Calvary
Baptist Church in Slidell, Louisiana. It
was a wonderful time in fellowship with our
new friends there. We delivered a commercial
refrigerator and a steam serving table for
the Church's Christian School. While there
we also met a wonderful team from Florida
who were helping with repairs on the Church.
They were very kind and eagerly helped us
in unloading the new equipment. Debbi and
I shared with the Pastor about the new Christian
school Paco is running in Nava, Mexico. Pastor
Starnes told us that the Church had several
child size desks that they were no longer
using and they would love to donate them
for the school. Santos and Fini shared with
us that Paco had been praying for the Lord
to supply desks & tables for the Nava
school. It was exciting to see God's provision
through the Calvary Baptist Church! Next
we headed to the camp in Waveland, Mississippi.
There we delivered a ventilation hood for
the commercial stove given to them in December.
It was an encouraging trip fellowshipping
with other believers and we are looking forward
to returning in the near future. |

Sara
and Kenny spent quite a bit of time in Mexico
this month. Sara has continued using her
sewing to minister to the ladies in the Nava
community while Kenny spends his time assisting
Pastor Santos with ranch projects. Sara teamed
up with ex-mayor Carlos Osuna's daughter
Sandra who is a seamstress. Sara and Sandra
are providing work through sewing and embroidery
for a few sisters in Nava. The two traveled
to Monterrey, which is about 4 hours south
of Nava to purchase fabric and supplies for
the project. Sara was also able to restock
the Dorcas House with fabric and notions
for the weekly sewing classes held there.

|
Besides
working on the ranches with Pastor Santos,
Kenny also spent time in the Carpenter Shop.
He and some other young boys worked on building
small log cabins to use as lamp bases. The
boys enjoyed the work and time with each
other. |
|
Sara
and Kenny delivered 4 adjustable work tables
to the kindergarten in Nava. As we mentioned
before, Paco, Pastor Santos and Fini had
been praying for tables so they were blessed
by this answer to prayer. They were also
able to deliver another heater. Becky and
Dalia are sweet young ladies who, along with
their Mother, have been very involved in
the Church. Both girls have also attended
the Purity Seminar with our daughters. They
were grateful for the new heater. |
|
We
appreciate your continued prayers for our
family and O.S.M. as we strive to serve Christ
in our lives. As Only a Servant Ministries
begins its ninth year of ministry, we pray
the Lord will fill us with His Spirit and
direct our steps in His paths of righteousness.
We are grateful for His love toward us through
each of you!
