Dear Friends in Christ,
"You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness;
therefore God, your God,
has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your companions."

~ Hebrews 1:9 ~
What a privilege to be a Child of the Most High God, our King, our Friend and our Savior! With all that He has done for us, how can we keep Him a secret? We are compelled to share His goodness and love with those around us, in word and deed. We are very grateful to you for helping us to reach out to people in Haiti and Mexico with Christ’s love.
Unexpectedly, Kenny was blessed to return to Haiti for a quick trip (4 weeks) to help John Leininger build a guest house in Deye Mon along with some other projects. Our children affectionately call him Uncle John because he has been a close friend to our family. We always enjoy and appreciate going to Haiti with John.
When John, Cliff (a friend and Brother from San Antonio) and Kenny arrived in Haiti, they went to Merci Village. The well was having some problems so they quickly found someone to repair it. While they were getting the well worked on and eventually repaired, Pastor Etienne was working on another project. He had a big truck load of food delivered to the village. It took a lot of work to get it unloaded, organized and securely stored. What a blessing to have so much food to distribute to needy families.
While in Merci Village, Kenny went to check on Woodsaiedmie and her Mom, Frasline. The baby is still in casts, but has her boots which she will soon be wearing. Frasline asked Kenny to take her and Woodsaiedmie back home to visit, since he would be driving through on his way to Deye Mon. They will return to the Merci Village when the men go back in a few weeks. Frasline is excited to show Woodsaiedmie to her friends and family who have not seen her since her surgery. She is grateful for those who made it possible for her baby to be able to walk normally when she is older.
Brother Ronald spent some time talking with Kenny about the chicken project while he was at the village. He told Kenny all of the chickens were sold and he felt they had done very well with the first batch. The pens are clean and the next group of chicks are scheduled to arrive on May 4th.
John, Cliff, Pastor Etienne, Lussade and Kenny are traveling out to Deye Mon as this newsletter is being written. There is still some political unrest in that area, but things have improved greatly since Kenny was there last. They will likely be making some trips back and forth to Cayes for supplies. Though the road is much better than it used to be, there can still be problems along that drive. Please pray for safe travels and safety in building the guest house for Kenny and these men.
Please pray with us that Kenny will be able to see the immigration attorney when he returns to Texas. Also, pray the Lord will show us favor concerning a visa for his fiancé Laissa.
Thank you so much for your encouragement in Christ! May He bless and keep you and your family in His love and care.
Because of Christ,
