Give ear, oh heavens, and let me speak;
and let the earth hear the words of my mouth.
Let my teaching drop as the rain, my speech distill as the dew,
as the droplets on the fresh grass and as the showers on the herb.
For I proclaim the name of the Lord; ascribe greatness to our God!
The Rock! His work is perfect, for all His ways are just;
a God of faithfulness and without injustice, righteous and upright is He.

~Deuteronomy 32:1-4~
Dear Friends in Christ,
We praise the Lord for allowing our family another wonderful month in Nava, Mexico. The weather was beautiful, the flowers were blooming, the grass was green, and we were blessed to be there.
We all enjoyed having our friend David Wean join us in Nava for a few days. David has always been a great blessing and encouragement to our family and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time with him. We were grateful for his help in some of the projects that we were involved with this month.
At the Ranch of Faith a lot of progress took place on the construction of the caretaker's house. We hired Oscar to begin laying blocks for the walls. In the meantime, we worked in the Carpenter Shop building window frames for the house. While there, Ken and the boys had the opportunity to share Jesus with a group of young boys who were walking by using very foul language. Ken and Kenny talked with them about their character, but more importantly about having a relationship with Jesus Christ. They had several other opportunities to see and talk with these young men throughout the month. We hope to some day witness them coming to Christ. We are looking forward to returning next month to continue the work on the caretaker's house at the ranch.
One day while working at the ranch, we had some pretty interesting weather. It went from clear sky to hail in about 15 minutes. The hail was up to fist size, so our truck got a few dents. Praise the Lord that with no real shelter, the damage wasn't too bad for the amount of hail we received. After the hail, a very hard rain fell for about an hour. Then 30 minutes later, the sun was out again! We were grateful to the Lord for His protection and for the much needed rain.
Kenny had the opportunity to take Filipe, a welder who we frequently use, to church with him. The last time we had needed Filepe's help, he was drunk, but he told Kenny he wanted to go to church with him sometime. We weren't sure if he would keep his word, but he and his 2 sons joined Kenny for the Wednesday night Bible study!
Our time in Nava went very fast this month. We stayed longer than we had planned, so that we could get to a stopping point. We are so grateful for your continued love, prayers, and support to O.S.M. and our family. We pray the Lord's abundant blessings over you and your families as together we endeavor to reach the lost for Christ and to be an encouragement to Pastor Santos and our friends there.
Because of Christ,
The Kennedy Family
The following is a note from some dear friends of ours who wanted to help share the vision for the Ranch of Faith with everyone. We were blessed by the way Alfredo and Carmen Torres shared our dreams for the ranch and by their desire to share that with others. The Torres family has joined us serving in Mexico on numerous occasions and we are grateful for their friendship.
The Ranch of Faith is thirty acres of rugged beauty located in Morales, Mexico. Only a Servant Ministry's vision for the ranch is, by God's grace, to develop it and build a foundation for Christian families. This will be a place for family retreats and for the men of the John 3:16 church and surrounding areas to come and learn the qualities of godly men. Some of these qualities include; the application of God's word in their daily living and to develop an understanding of their Biblical roles as husbands, fathers, and church leaders. Hopefully, they can encourage the men to manage their time wisely, develop good work ethics, and learn to use agriculture skills. The goal is also to ensure that they use proven animal husbandry techniques.
Pastor Santos, Ken, Kenny and Micah with other men will take every opportunity to incorporate God's word as they work alongside the men. They will work together planting gardens and caring for them. They will build pens for animals, and demon-strate different techniques to raise chickens, goats, cows, and pigs. In addition, a pecan orchard will be planted and cared for. As the men become more experienced with these skills, they will transport their goods and sell them.
The prayer of Only a Servant Ministries for the men is that they come to the saving knowledge of Christ, that they trust the Savior for all their needs, and that in Christ they are new creatures and all things are possible. Please consider supporting this life changing project with your prayers and financial gifts.
To God be the glory!
Alfredo & Carmen Torres
~Praise and Prayer Requests~
Give thanks to Thy name for Thy loving kindness and Thy truth;
for Thou has magnified Thy word according to all Thy name.

Psalm 138:2
If you or someone you know is skilled with sewing machine repairs, we could use your help at the Dorcas House in Nava. Lety, the ladies and girls who work with her, are continuously dealing with machines that need repairs and adjustments. Praise the Lord, we are now able to pay Lety to teach in the Dorcas House!! We hope to invest in a couple of new machines as Lety begins classes.
Jesús' meds continue to cost about $80/month, if anyone would like to sponsor any part of this expense monthly it would be greatly appreciated. When we were working in his home, we could tell a big difference when he had his meds and when he didn't. Jesús is much more responsive and cheerful when he is taking his meds.
The John 3:16 Feeding Program is doing very well. In fact, because of the economy, Paulina is feeding about 35-38 children each day. Now we are spending about $150/month to feed the children, if you would like to help with this expense, we, Paulina and the children would be grateful.
The schools in Haiti are doing fine. Please pray for the children and their families, the teachers, Pastor Marc and Pastor Petti -Noell, and Lussade as they work faithfully to minister to these children. Also, some of our family will be going to Haiti May 9-19, we appreciate your prayers for this team.
We praise the Lord for His faithfulness to our family even in the midst of hard eco-nomic times. We have felt the effects, as we know you have, yet the Lord has continued to meet our needs. Thank you for your love and prayers, and your financial support for our friends in Mexico and Haiti.
